What Is 3D Embroidery?

To further personalize your custom golf cart seat, Backspin Seating offers different embroidery styles to choose from. Once you have chosen a monogram style, font style for your chosen text, or have uploaded a graphic, you also have the option of choosing 3D or traditional embroidery. While traditional embroidery is slightly raised from the background material, 3D embroidery uses a foam underlayment to achieve a three dimensional effect.
The 3D effect is produced by placing a layer of foam on the area where the design will be embroidered. The foam is then stitched over with a preliminary layer of thread in the chosen design. Foam edges are trimmed and the design is stitched again with a second layer of thread. The thread count of 3D embroidery is double that of traditional, ensuring full coverage of the foam. 3D embroidery is one more way to add unique detail to your customized golf cart seat.
